Our season concluded on recently with a splendid gathering of almost one hundred players and partners at the Arkaba Hotel. It was a great celebration and a wonderful opportunity to share our unique friendship. Many awards and acknowledgments were made and here is our Honour Roll.

 

OVER 40s

STATE CAPS: The first twelve numbered caps were presented to the inaugural State Team: Jamie Panelli, Mark Cleary, Justin Ifould, Sathpath Kamburugamuwa, Chad Parrish, David Prosser, Michael Silvy, Ben Tippett, Andrew Warner, Ben Warren, Nathan Woods and Richie Wyld.

NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES: David Prosser and Richie Wyld.


OVER 50s

PREMIERS Division 1: Adelaide University led by Leo Panzarino.

PREMIERS Division 2: Riverland/ Sunraysia led by Tony Hickey.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS Division 1: South Australia led by Richard Gabb.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONS Division 2: South Australia led by Andrew Carver.

NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES: Leith Dawes, Richard Gabb, Ilham Jaufer, John Rankin and Tim Sargent.

PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

Division 1 Batting: Darren Cheek of Brighton with 164 runs at 54.67

Division 1 Bowling: Andrew Stockley of Goodwood with 14 wickets at 11.5

Division 2 Batting: Todd Charlton of Riverland/Sunraysia with 166 runs at 166

Division 2 Bowling: Michael Gutsche of Riverland/Sunraysia with 10 wickets at 7.25


OVER 60s

PREMIERS: Goodwood Eastern Ranges led by Skills Thomson.

NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVES: Dale Bateman, Peter Judd, Tim Pellen, Michael Riley and Mark Trafford Walker.

PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

Batting: Greg Stagg of Goodwood Eastern Ranges with 258 runs and no outs.

Bowling: Terry Bound of Kilburn Devils with 14 wickets at 9


OVER 70s

NATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE: Graeme Madden

PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

For General Excellence, Graeme Madden and Michael Riley.

Special Trophy for high performances on three separate occasions: Graeme Fielke of Fleurieu Fins


LIFE MEMBERSHIP

This was awarded to Michael Stanley and Gary Bilney for their outstanding service to and involvement with SAVCA.
